A new Heritage District tradition may still be months away, but Maricopans can get an early taste of it next weekend.
Duke’s Roadhouse will host a fundraiser and information rollout for the upcoming Maricopa First Fridays on Saturday, June 6. Guests can expect a live band, raffle items, and lower drink prices.
First Fridays will launch this fall as a monthly event centered around food, art, music and more stretched across the Heritage District.
“What’s most exciting about First Fridays for me is also what’s exciting about Duke’s: You don’t have to leave Maricopa to have a great night out or to have a fun experience with [your] family,” said Duke’s General Manager Haylee Nelson.
The fundraising event includes several raffles with prizes from businesses like Duke’s and Roots Eatery. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket or five for $20.
Duke’s Roadhouse will also celebrate its first anniversary that night, including a new menu and reduced drink prices.
Nelson saw the celebration as the perfect opportunity to spread the word about First Friday.
“Anything that we can do to have an event or to engage the community is what’s most exciting for all of us,” Nelson said.
