Fry’s opens its doors to Maricopa residents

Fry’s Marketplace officially became part of the Maricopa business community on Wednesday, August 31, at 7 a.m. A line of customers waited for the doors to open while the Maricopa High School band performed outside in the parking lot.

Also present were many representative from Fry’s corporate offices. One of the executives, Pat Malone, commented, “We’re glad to be here, and we’re really excited to get our new store open.”

In addition to groceries and a full-service pharmacy, the store features an expanded wine and liquor shop, a garden center, pool and patio supplies, home furnishings and décor items, a kitchen center, an electronics center, Tully’s Coffee Shop (with tables and couches for in-store seating), a sushi bar, a butcher shop and the Boar’s Head Delicatessen. The new Marketplace will also offer photo developing, floral arrangements, fresh produce and a bakery with Krispy Kreme products.

The new food and drug store is located at 20797 N. John Wayne Parkway. It is the 114th Fry’s store in Arizona. Hours will be 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. Doug Guilkey is the manager. The store’s phone number is (520) 568-6200.
