Drivers heading through State Route 347 and Riggs Road intersection Sunday should plan for brief stops throughout the day. 

Intermittent 15-minute closures will take place from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 31 as crews work on overhead power lines and traffic signals to prepare for the upcoming improvements on the state highway. 

The SR 347 Improvement Project will kick off construction this summer, beginning with pavement rehabilitation work next month, followed by early construction work for the Riggs Road overpass. In April, crews installed new utility poles to make way for overpass construction.
