Maricopa travel advisors unveil chef-led Provence getaway for 2027

The weeklong escape is set at Domaine Les Chauvins, a private hamlet surrounded by lavender fields, vineyards and sweeping mountain views

Domaine Les Chauvins in the Drôme Provençale is the setting for “A Taste of France,” a chef-led group getaway being promoted by Maricopa travel advisors Valyo Calvert and Tony Weaver.

Maricopa-based travel agency Two Guys And A Passport is inviting travelers to trade routine for lavender fields, vineyard views and chef-led dining in Southern France next spring.

The agency, a Cruise Planners independent franchise owned by Valyo Calvert and Tony Weaver, has launched “A Taste of France,” an intimate group trip scheduled for April 17-24, 2027, in the Drôme Provençale. The experience starts at $3,995 per person.

Created in partnership with Kensington Tours and Pittsburgh chef Alekka Sweeney, the weeklong escape is designed as a more refined, small-group way to experience Provence through food, scenery and guided cultural experiences.

Guests will stay at Domaine Les Chauvins, a private hamlet in the countryside surrounded by lavender fields, vineyards and mountain views. The package includes French-inspired breakfasts, daily lunches and dinners, beverages, on-site staff, curated excursions and culinary experiences intended to immerse travelers in the pace and flavor of the region.

A central part of the trip is Sweeney, whose background brings a professional culinary lens to the experience. She has more than 25 years of culinary and pastry experience, trained in French pastry at Le Cordon Bleu and earned a degree from the Pennsylvania Institute for the Culinary Arts. She previously owned and operated Give Me Some Sugar in Chicago and has spent more than 15 years teaching baking and cooking classes.

Sweeney also serves as a resident chef on Talk Pittsburgh and has been featured by TABLE Magazine among women helping shape Pittsburgh’s culinary scene.

For Calvert and Weaver, the trip also reflects the niche they bring to international planning. Both owners come from aviation backgrounds, which they say adds another layer of expertise when helping clients manage the logistics of air travel abroad.

That aviation experience, paired with the backing of Cruise Planners, is part of what the agency says helps set its service apart. Their partnership with Kensington Tours is meant to extend that approach on the ground in France, with private-guided support and tailored destination planning.

Together, the collaborators are pitching the experience to travelers looking for more than a standard vacation package, with an emphasis on comfort, authenticity and a carefully curated stay in Provence.

Travelers can request a consultation and include the group name “Taste of France” in the notes section. Additional trip details, including information about the villa and overall experience, are also available through the agency’s booking materials.
