One of Maricopa’s newest subdivisions not only welcomed prospective homeowners but also sold its first home this afternoon.

Moonlight Ridge, a subdivision sitting on the northwest corner of State Route 238 and Green Road, hosted a grand opening event complete with food, activities and a new home sale. The first phase is called “Telesto at Moonlight.”

“One of my coworkers is writing up the first contract right now, so it’s going well,” said D.R. Horton sales representative Shailey Ringenbach of the event. “All the kids look adorable with their face painting and everyone’s enjoying the food truck.”

The community has been under development since 2021and construction just began this year. Currently, the homebuilder has around two dozen homes in various phases of construction.

“It’s going to be the hottest community in Maricopa and that’s because of the amenities and the location,” Ringenbach said.

The community will offer three- to five-bedroom homes that range in size from 1,300 to nearly 2,100 square feet. Prices start at $330,000.

Homes are finished with wood tile flooring, soft-close cabinets and glass shower enclosures, which Ringenbach said all give the homes a “little more elevated” ambience. She also said the community amenities are a major selling point.

“We are so excited about it because it has such an incredible amenity center. We have a community pool, sand volleyball and pickleball courts, really everything you can imagine. It’s going to be such a stunning community,” Ringenbach said.

Currently, the model on Dusk Lane is the only completed home, but most homes would be ready for move in as soon as June. The model home is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and interested parties can contact the sales team at 480-780-2171.
