Overnight work to restrict SR 347 traffic starting Friday

If you regularly travel on Maricopa’s main throughfare overnight on the weekends, prepare for a bit of a slowdown starting Friday that will run through Tuesday.  

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced that overnight paving work will cause a mile of State Route 347 to be narrowed to one lane in both directions near Cement Plant Road: 

  • Friday, March 28 from 8 p.m. through Saturday, March 29. at 7 a.m. 
  • Saturday, March 29 from 8 p.m. through Sunday, March 30. at 7 a.m.

Crews will then move further south on SR347, where a mile of the roadway will be narrowed to one lane in both directions near Casa Blanca Road: 

  • Sunday, March 30 from 8 p.m. through Monday, March 31 at 5 a.m. 
  • Monday, March 31 from 8 p.m. through Tuesday April 1 at 5 a.m.   

ADOT urges drivers to follow reduced speed limits of 55 miles per hour in work zones for the safety of drivers and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
