Edito’s note, May 6: The campaign has raised a whopping $18,000, far exceeding its goal after one week of donations.
A GoFundMe campaign is benefiting the family of Erandy Reyes de Jesus, the Maricopa Meadows mother of four killed in a head-on crash Tuesday night on Honeycutt Road.
The fundraiser, launched Thursday morning, had already surpassed its $2,800 goal within four hours, raising $3,560 by 11:30 a.m. It remains active.
“There are no words that could ever justify our pain or anything that could make it right,” the fundraiser states. “You will always be in our hearts. You were so loved; losing you has been so hard for us.”
Maricopa police, fire and medical crews responded around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday to Honeycutt Road near White and Parker Road after reports of a vehicle collision.
When first responders arrived, they found two vehicles had collided head-on in the westbound lanes of Honeycutt Road, police said.
A preliminary investigation found a Honda CR-V driven by 38-year-old Reyes de Jesus was traveling west on Honeycutt Road when a Nissan Xterra driven east by a 21-year-old woman drifted into the westbound lane and hit the Honda head-on, according to police.
The Nissan also carried a 20-year-old woman in the front passenger seat.
All three people involved sustained major injuries, police said. Reyes de Jesus was taken to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The Nissan driver and passenger were also taken to a local hospital. Police said the driver was in stable condition, while the passenger was in critical condition when the department issued its statement.
The GoFundMe said Reyes leaves behind her husband and four children, including the youngest child who is autistic.
“Never did we imagine having to do all this,” the fundraiser states. “We ask for support in any way.”
The fundraiser also said Reyes “lost her life due to a head-on accident” and alleged the crash was “caused by two young girls under the influence of drugs and alcohol.”
Police confirmed drugs or alcohol are believed to have been a factor in the crash, although no arrests have been announced yet. The Pinal County Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to assist with the investigation, which police said is standard procedure for a crash of this magnitude.
The investigation remains ongoing.
“We ask for prayers mainly for our family,” the fundraiser states, naming Reyes’ mother, husband and children. “RIP Erandy Reyes Mi Chikissss Mi Reyna.”

No words for the anger this creates. If I had the magic wand it would say “switch the dead person.” There’s just no excuse, and she’ll get a smack on the hand and walk.
This is truly tragic.
I know the two individuals the 21 year old women is actually trans and goes by he/him pronouns.I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting both and decided to stay away due to their choices especially the METH use of the 20 year old ( never thought I would smell meth until her) . It is very tragic that these individuals choices have now killed someone. I hope this can be reached to the family members since I do know information of this sort stays hidden from the family during investigation.
Names? Public deserves to know
