A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon in a collision with a commercial truck on northbound State Route 347 near Riggs Road, said Arizona Department of Public Safety officials.

The crash occurred at about 2:20 p.m. on SR 347 at milepost 185.1, according to Public Information Officer Raul Garcia. That is just north of the Maricopa County line, before you reach Riggs Road. 

Eyewitness photos depict the blue bike upside down with siding strewn across the road. No details were released about the condition of the commercial truck driver, although the motorcyclist was the only one transported by ambulance. 

DPS is leading the investigation. The motorcycle rider was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. No further details were available regarding the crash.
