Westbound drivers on State Route 238 inside the city limits were being rerouted at 5 p.m. today after a nasty crash at the intersection of Warren Road.
A Maricopa Police Department spokesperson at 4:45 p.m. told us that city cops had responded to a collision just outside its jurisdiction, in front of the Apex Motor Club, and turned the investigation over to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
AZDPS spokesperson Bart Graves told InMaricopa the collision was “blocking the middle lanes.” Reporters on the scene said traffic was backed up past Ralston Road at 5 p.m.
The crash ” involves a semi versus three passenger vehicles,” Graves said.
It’s “unknown how many people are injured,” he said.
This is a breaking story. InMaricopa reporters remain on scene.
