UPDATE 5:28 a.m. May 29, 2025 The northbound lanes of State Route 347 have reopened, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Southbound lanes were unaffected.
ORIGINAL STORY 4:02 a.m. May 29, 2025 A crash has closed northbound State Route 347 just north of Maricopa, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The crash was first reported at 1:46 a.m. between Maricopa city limits and Casa Blanca Road, according to the ADOT’s 511 map.
At 3:30 a.m., Maricopa Police Department officers were stationed on northbound SR 347 at Lakeview Drive, blocking the roadway. Traffic cones and road flares redirected drivers into the Rancho El Dorado and Cobblestone Farms neighborhoods.
Northbound traffic is being redirected to Interstate 10 via Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. Southbound traffic was unaffected as of 3:30 a.m.
Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers are assisting with traffic control and directed reporters to contact the Gila River Police Department, the investigating agency.
InMaricopa has contacted GRPD and ADOT for more information on this crash. Injuries remain unknown at this time.
